Georgia Pre-K

Georgia PreK

Georgia’s Pre-K Program is a state lottery funded educational program for all age eligible four-year-old children in Georgia. The purpose of Georgia’s Pre-K Program is to prepare children for success in Kindergarten and later school years. To participate, children must be four years of age on or before September 1 of the school year. The program provides a full 6.5-hour instructional day for children, five days a week, 180 days a year.

The school readiness goals of the Pre-K program provide appropriate preschool experiences emphasizing growth in language and literacy, math concepts, science, social studies, arts, physical development, and social and emotional competence. In the GA PreK program, children learn through play and learning centers.

We value communication between parents and teachers. Classroom newsletters are sent home each month to inform you of up coming events, skills and concepts studied for the upcoming month, and general information pertinent to all families. We also utilize SeeSaw as a digital tool to send pictures, videos and announcements to parents. Each student and family will receive an account at the start of the school year.
