The Private PreK Program at Zion Baptist Academy is tuition- based and provides a full 6.5 hour instructional day, five days a week for 180 days. To enroll, children must be four years of age on or before November 1st of the school year.
In our Private Pre-K program, children learn though play and learning centers. Our program reflects an understanding of how children learn by inquiry; emphasizing active learning, consistent daily routine, and the use of positive behavior management and assessment strategies. Our PreK students receive instruction through the Purposeful Design Bible curriculum for Christian Education, Inspire Science, and Wonders ELA which is aligned to GELDS (Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards), and ABEKA for Handwriting and Math. Students in our Private PreK program receive Music, Movement, STEM, Art, and Mandarin classes on a weekly basis.
Children will also participate in field trips scheduled throughout that year to further their learning outside of the classroom. (Subject to change due to Covid protocols)
We value communication between parents and teachers. Classroom newsletters are sent home each month to inform you of up coming events, skills and concepts studied for the upcoming month, and general information pertinent to all families. We also utilize SeeSaw as a digital tool to send pictures, videos and announcements to parents. Each student and family will receive an account at the start of the school year.
